    Hello phyys1x,

By default, .rar files are not associated with a default program in Windows.

If you wanted to unassociated .rar files, then you could use a method in the tutorial below to do so.
If you wanted to assosicate a default program to open .rar files, then you could use either option below to do so.
    Hope this helps, :)

What happens when you right click on a .rar file, click on Open with -> Choose default program, select WinRAR, check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file box, and click on OK?

I'll install WinRAR later today, and post back with a .reg file that will set .rar files to open with WinRAR by default. :)

    phyys1x,

See if this may work you:

    1. Open WinRAR, and click on Options (Menu bar).

    2. Click on the Integration tab, check RAR, and click on OK.
