I'm sorry, but I still do not know what you are referring to.

Is this happening with a specific file extension? If so, what file extension?

Please also post a screenshot to help. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My son unintentionally changed the .lnk file associations and your expert guidance helped me fix my machine.

As always, thanks for being the invaluable resource that you are.

Hello, can you add "nfo" files?

In the meantime, this is what I have

    Hello svnpenn,

"nfo" has been added to the list. :)

Brink, thanks for the update. After looking at the new file I noticed you
    included the line

    Code:
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MSInfoFile]
which is of course correct. However I have noticed many other types do not
include the analogue to this. Example "BAT" does not include a line

    Code:
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\batfile]
    Others affected include

    CMD
    CSS
    INI
    JS
    PS1
    REG
    TXT
    XML

This could cause a problem for people that have changed the "(Default)" value
    under

    Code:
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\batfile\shell]

    svnpenn,

Yes, the line below is correct, and would need to be there. The .nfo file extension uses MSInfoFile. The line below deletes the MSInfoFile key to remove any modifications made by the user or other, then the default registry entries for MSInfoFile are added back with the rest of the nfo.reg file.

    Code:
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MSInfoFile]

Brink, yes I understand. What I am saying is that other types should also have this similar line, and do not.
