    Hello f23948 :)

.webm files do not have an association by default in Windows. If you like, the .reg file below will unassociate them for you.

Update: Oops, I didn't see "Unassociate_webm.reg" download link reg file but now I have downloaded "Unassociate_webm.reg" download link reg file and applied it, thanks for help

Update 2: I have restarted my computer and it's still VLC file type association

Update 3: I have uninstalled VLC, unassociate web file type and restarted computer, it works thanks for help

Hi, I read this fine article by you. The html file is associated with internet explorer in your tutorial. I just made a script and saved that as html, as default. But double clicking in my firefox browser, internet explorer ,and google chrome opens the html tags page, and storage of my computer folder, rather than executing the script. What i am to do to open the html file, to execute the content of script targeting a web page. pl

    Hello jraju, :)

Did you already download and merge the .reg file for the html option in the tutorial?

Hi, Sorry, i just read the tutorial of how the file association is related to windows 7. But on moving the cursor, i now know that it is a reg fix done by you.
So, can i try the html reg fix now. Please tell. Why these fixes are needed and not provided in the default set up.
I just opened html reg and it contains so much technical details that one could not unserstand. But anyway if it fixes , then it is a boom.
Please tell me whether i could run the reg file for html.
There are two fixes for html , htm and html. why? The registry entries are so technical

I'm not certain what the html is supposed to do for opening a targeted web page. Usually, this would have it open the web page in your default web browser.

    HI,
I have done small script to log in to gmail by using selenium ide. Once the script is done, i saved it as default html type. If i click this html, it is not opening the targeted web page of gmail, instead it shows the target as the storage point in my desktop.. file c: desktop
I then tried your fix for html and it still opens the code page, in the file, instead of opening hte web page.
But if i run the script in the application interface that opens the web page correctly. So, i want to know, why it does not open in double clicking.
