Ok. How does it work when just using the Start Menu search box and pressing enter instead of using Run?

I'm not sure what association would be for that. If it just started recently, then you could do a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to try and fix it.
Start search works fine ! Just the Run .. No big deal just wanted to know what could be the reason. Unfortunately i turned off System Restore due to low disk space in C. I think i can live with that. Thanks for the response though.

    Have a good weekend :)

As a test, you could create a new administrator account to see how RUN works in it to see if it was just your old account or the whole system.

If it works in the new user account, then you can copy all of the contents of the old user account's C:\Users\(user-name) folders (including hidden AppData folder) into the corresponding new account's C:\Users\(user-name) folder. After everything checks out ok, you can delete the old user account while logged in the new user account.

Thanks Shawn ! Will give that a try. I suspect the Tuneup Utilities i installed a week back messed up. Anyway it's in a trial i'm gonna uninstall it. I'm positive it's the job of registry cleaners.

Before you uninstall it, you might check to see if Tuneup Utilities has a undo option to restore the changes that it made to the registry and hopefuly fix the RUN issue.

It seems as if it has something to do with the link to the avi file, i can request the other files just fine, i have closed all browser sessions, emtied my coockies, typed the link manualy and stil have the problem with the link to the avi file.

Any other suggestions, or someone who can test the avi link in the first post.? I keep ending up with a login screen that popups :)

    Chaots,

It's working fine for me. You might check to see if you have some sort of security browser add-on installed that is blocking it. If you are using Firefox, try Internet Explorer to see how it works.

Maybe a cookie clear with vBulletin > My Cookies will sort it.

I'm attaching the .reg file download for the avi file extension below to see if you may be able to download it directly from here instead.
