Could be, but I'm afraid I don't know how as well.

Brink...as I said in May 2012, this s/w works well on my desktop. I tried it on an HP Pavilion g6 laptop; it would eject, but not close (I did get the quick black screen flash). The tray is very cheesey, and doesn't slide as easily as in the desktop. Could that be the reason it doesn't work? Thnx, Chris

    Hello Chris,

Yeah, I find that it won't close on most laptops either since most need to be manually closed.

You're welcome. It really just comes down to if the CD/DVD drive has a physical button on it that both opens and closes it. If so, then usually the shortcut will work for both as well. If not, then only for open.

    Hi Brink,
This tutorial is exactly what i was looking for, for my Sony Optiarc 5280S - CB PLUS. I wondered if you could possibly modify the .bat and .reg files to specifically work for drive ' F ' please?
    Cheers

Hello catonthewebb, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sure thing. Here are the .bat and .reg files in a ZIP below. You can use them while following the tutorial instead for the specific F: drive instead. :)
