    How to Add a "Microsoft Security Essentials" Cascading Desktop Context Menu in Windows 7

       Information
    This will show you how to add or remove a cascading (expandable) Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) menu to the desktop context menu for all users in Windows 7 to open to settings, update, update and quick scan, do a quick scan, or do a full scan in MSE.

    You must be logged in as an administrator to be able to do the steps in this tutorial.

       Note
    You will need to have the free Microsoft Security Essentials installed before this will work.

    Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

    EXAMPLE: Microsoft Security Essentials Cascading Desktop Context Menu

    Here's How:
    1. Add "Microsoft Security Essentials" Cascading Desktop Context Menu
    A) Click on the Download button below to download the file below.
    Add_MSE_to_Desktop_Context_Menu.reg
    B) Go to step 3.
    2. Remove "Microsoft Security Essentials" Cascading Desktop Context Menu
    NOTE: This is the default setting.
    A) Click on the Download button below to download the file below.
    Remove_MSE_from_Desktop_Context_Menu.reg
    3. Save the .reg file to the desktop.

    4. Right click on the downloaded .reg file, and click on Merge.

    5. Click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted.

    6. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
