Actually, I do need it. It helps make my laptop faster. Without it, it as a very low stability.
Windows 7 is Microsoft's most finely tuned OS to date. There is nothing Tune-up Utilities can do that 7 can't do for itself. Tune-up Utilities only adds another running program to eat up resources. But if you don't want my advice ...

It seems reasonable that one of the programs you installed is causing the symptoms you describe. You could try uninstalling them one by one to see if that is true?

    Re: Boot

Okay, I will remove it. I am not going to download Speccy as it is in Beta.

Although Speccy claims it is in Beta, there are no problems with it. I use it often, and recommend it to many people, and nobody has reported an issue.

It is entirely your option, though. If you want to get the information yourself, you can run msinfo32 from the start menu.

    Good luck!

If you suffer performance problems as a result of removing Tune-up Utilities, I would then suggest you start a new thread here at 7 Forums, in the Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums section for example, and describe your performance problems and let us diagnose them?

Ok, I removed it. I am going to reboot and see if it is fixed. Stay here, my computer reboots quickly.

No, it did not work. What else should I do?

Remove the other new programs one by one to discover if one of them is the cause?

All the others were installed AFTER the problem started.

    1) Programs like Tune-up Utilities frequently need a reboot to completely remove all their processes. You might try another reboot to see if it is gone.

    2) It is not possible to get a screen shot during boot, so you will need to pay attention and make note of the messages, lines of code, whatever so we can have a better understanding of what is happening.

    See you Wednesday!!

    Cheers!
