Belarc or any other keyfinder will not retrieve the key if it is still running Factory Pre-installed Win7, which is a batch key used to mass activate.

If there is no COA sticker then I'd want to know why, since it's not legal to resell Win7 without providing one as proof that it is Genuine. Did you buy this from a store or directly from maker, or a third party who might have originally bought it with no OS or Linux?

If it's defnitely factory preinstalled with no COA sticker then you'll need to order the Factory Recovery disks.

They should sort it for you then, there is supposed to be one on the computer.

ASUS Support confirmed my serial number is entitled to Windows 7, but has no provided a key.
Just emailed ASUS Support again, as this ultrabook UX32A was purchased retail with Windows 7 OS.
I just do not see why I should have to purchase restore CDs. Digital River offers a free download of windows 7.
Had Asus provided a key for Windows 7, I would be set now.

    Hopefully

Did Asus explain how they think they can get away without providing a COA? it would be the first time we've seen it here. Only if the EULA was changed allowing OEM's to require only Factory SLP Activation with Recovery Disks would that be the case. Until then they are required to provide a COA sticker with Product Key so MS customers can Clean Reinstall the OS they bought.

I thought that might be the place after reading this,

The power adapter is a small black square with a swappable plug—the Windows Certificate of Authenticity sticker is also stuck to the adapter so, you know, don't lose it or anything.

Did you buy it brand new?

Greg when I looked at the key purchase it showed up as $10 cheaper than out here but the shipping was and I stand to be corrected US$65!!

I thought the retailer would just let me have an activation key code and the I just download the ISO or have I got it completely out of context.

Can we see a link John? It should always be from a major retailer to be sure its Genuine. Then you can just buy the key since the download is available in Step 1.
