Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Disks have a shelf life which an OS like Win7 may well outlive.

So Greg so I have it right as I have been having problems with my main machine for some time now and am up to just about reinstall #4 could my OEM disk be "deteriorating" making the install no good??

Am curious because I am thinking of using a brand new spare OEM disk and it seems to be rather wasteful if the original is crap now. Am just wondering too how do they deteriorate?? I just wish they still had that ISO up.

Ok well my disk is a 2011 "model" but it has just sat in a drawer in it's box until recently when I have done the reinstalls.

Now if I have two new disks that are brand new still in their sealed boxes so the ones I have were bought when the price was good (because if I bought one today it would come in some el cheapo cardboard packet) they were bought a fair while ago though before the el cheapo era (still have SP1 though).
Now if I used the ei.cfg removal tool could I use one of them without losing the activation code for an install on a subsequent machine?

Ok Greg I have two OEM Home 64bit editions spare and will use one of them plus am happier with a disk for installing to be honest - the part about extracting the ISO from the original Microsoft disk is the only part I am not sure of what to do.

I shall have a look at ImgBurn help to see which part of that program I have to use and do it on another machine than this one because it is really giving me hell and getting worse.

One last question besides the 64-bit and 32-bit versions is there any difference in the ISO between "home premium", "Home Basic", "ultimate" etc or is it all to do with what product key you have?

Greg is this a genuine site - looks to be and entering a code I have already runs a verification scan? and then nothing. Microsoft Software Recovery or is it a fraud or now blocked site?
