1.In Safe mode Option...."Loading file windows" cant load all files and black screen appeared again.
2."Last known good Configuration" did not work

    3."Windows Boot manager" results in
    File:\boot\memtest.exe
    Status: 0x000000f
Info: The Selected entry Could not be loaded because the application is missing or Corrupt.

memtest.exe is probably not on the place it expects.

What happens exactly in safe mode? Does it load drivers? Does the list and with CLASSPNP.SYS? error message? Is the screen totally black afterwards... no mouse pointer and no text cursor (most of the time in top left corner of screen)? is that cursor (if visible) blinking?

Continue with the steps. Confirm the Active partition and run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots, report back results.

Use the System Recovery Options from the Win7 disk provided in Step 6.

Use boot disks to disinfect and do all repairs until you can get into Safe Mode or Win7 - keep trying both after each step.

You will need access to another PC to burn the boot disks required to disinfect and then repair.

The steps in this tutorial try everything known possible to repair the OS, leading up to if necessary rescuiing your files to run Factory Recovery or do the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. But you need disks or their flash stick alternative to do these things.

Greg I know this might be relevant to my problem. Have an oldish XP machine that stalls on normal boot and no safe mode in any guise. It has been suggested I use this tutorial for fixing this machine so are any of the points something I could use please?

Yes, you can disinfect it and run Repair from the first R choice when booted into the XP disk, same Commands as for How to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows
