Yes, it's perfectly sound reasoning to keep the Recovery partition as the primary way to run Recovery - keeping disks as backup. This is apart from whether you decide to do the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
As to why it shows up as Q partition, that is a mystery as Q partition is known to us here as a virtual letter for Office 360. But since it says Lenovo Recovery we know it should not have a letter so you can safely remove it. If you receive a warning that the partition is too full we can also help you unhide the files and reassign a drive letter to see what has written to it while it had a drive letter.
