Clean Up Factory Bloatware

I am bit lost here I referred someone to CCleaner and got a very inappropriate reply and it is not showing up - I don't know how to / if I can reply to this person.

I see free the Puran boot-time defrag link is broken, would you actually recommend using that (I'm sure you do), because I was just about to try it for a friends computer, and I see now i can't :)

A boot-time defrag is exceptional since it gets at System files which are running otherwise. I've seen it speed up startup by a full minute when slow startup was traced to fragmentation and other defrags couldn't get to system files.

Pairing it with Disk Check also tends to the HD better, while the Intelligent Optimizer (on Additional Operations tab) moves most-used programs to the outside of HD for faster reads. I probably run the whole shebang quarterly to semi-annually on my installs now, immediately after CCleaner.

We've been seeing more cases of System Restore Points disappearing after any defrag, so check your System Restore points after defrag to make sure they're intact. If not post back a help thread in General so we can help you fix it in the defrag settings.
