to anyone having issues with cursors not being in the C:\Windows\Cursors folder, it also works if you make another folder named Cursors on your PC, in my case I have one on my desktop full of all the cursors I make. it is also much better as you can separate your custom cursors from the windows ones and seves space in the original cursors folder.

Can I create a dedicated folder "3D_Red" for my custom group in C:\Windows\Cursors.
    eg, C:\Windows\Cursors\3D_Red\RedArrow.cur

When I tried to create the new empty folder, Windows showed an alert/warning with option to continue.

    The cursors I have at hand are all prefixed with "3D_Red" . . . . eg, 3D_Red_Arrow.cur"

    The alert warning is concerning
If I create a folder (3D_Red) on (say) the desktop, fill it with all "3D_Red" cursors
... then copy (move) the "3D_Red" folder to C:|Windowd\Cursors
    Will the sub-folder sabotage themes.

Q: Or should all cursors be in C:\Windows\Cursors ONLY ?

    Thank you :)

    Hello Russell,

To avoid potential issues, I would recommend to keep the cursors you want to use in the "C:\Windows\Cursors" folder.
