USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

If anyone would be so kind as to confirm whether a formatted external HD would work too? I am aware installation will be slower but it would be useful

As Max said it can be done mate but make sure you really check it thoroughly afterwards as the partitions do get a bit muddled.

If it were me I would be doing a clean all on the drive beforehand as they have their own software crap on a lot of them. Still that is just me being pedantic and maybe a bit OCD LOL!! but at least you will have blank drive to start with after formatting it of course:)

I've went ahead and done it, all seems well! Booted into Windows. Now all I need to do is connect to the internet and download some drivers.
