    Hello Chrysalis,

Yes, it allows you to be able to install Windows 7 on your computer from a faster USB stick instead of a slower DVD. :)

    New Win7 Flash Drive Builder

After struggling with making bootable Win7 flash drives, I though you all might be interested in an app I was beta testing a couple of weeks back, and greatly simplifies the steps of building a bootable Win7 USB flash drive. They just released the final version...freeware! It also supports building from Windows XP.

    BootSage Flash Builder

    Enjoy

hey man very nice and easy tweakins you got there but one question im going to use UltraISO method and can i still put some other files through my USB even if theres a Windows7.iso in there as bootle W7 installer?

my USB is 16GB around 4GB total of my Windows 7 ISO although there's still too much free space left overs you know

    Hello Coco,

Yes, you will still be able to save more files as normal on the USB afterwards. :)

hello brink i have some question if you dont mind..can i use both Windows 7 and XP boot in my Flash Disk? i was thinking to do this ,

    1. i have existing Windows 7 in my flash drive im going to move and create a new folder for Windows 7 as temporary to avoid conflict from new boot

2.im going to create a new boot of XP to my flash drive

so if im gonna use my Windows 7 boot i just gonna create new folder for XP and i'll bring Windows 7 at the first place like before, will this possible work? actually i can try it but i dont wanna get messed up if this method was wrong cause creating a bootable of Windows 7 (5 GB) to my flash drive will takes around 5-6 hours..

    (sorry for my bad english)

    EDIT:

oh yes we can't write cause it says everything inside the flash disk will be deleted, i created a backup files to the desktop i'll soon paste it back tp flash drive after the writing and let see if this works..

    Hello Coco,

Sorry, but you can't have a dual installation USB flash drive like that as far as I am aware of. If you want a XP one, it will need to be on a separate USB flash drive, or format that one and create one for XP only on it.

    Still can't do it...

    Hi there,

I'm still having issues on creating a bootable usb.

I'm trying to install a Business version (Student version downloaded from MS Academic Alliance), I get throught the cleaning just fine, but when I try to copy the files from a mounted ISO image to the USB i keep getting an error saying "Invalid MS-DOS function" and the copy fails.

I have also tried to burn the image and install it from a disk, but the installer doesn't recognize my DVD drive, no matter how it's setup (IDE/AHCI).

So please I ask for help.

    Thanks
