Convert MBR Disk to GPT Disk

Now as I ma still having extreme diifculties with posting in the forum dropping emails and even some blue screens I tried to see if making the drive a GPT one would do anything because I am clutching at straws here now seeing that I still now further forward after 10 clean installs form ISO's and the original OEM DVD.

I am referring to posts #157 and 158 here this is what I have and am shortly going to deconstruct this machine because I am so tired of what is happening because I cannot get anything down with it.

See pics for what I have in the BIOS which I think I might flash tomorrow because as I said I am just going form one crash to another it seems the machine cannot hold onto anything for very long as I am copying as I go to save my sanity to get a post away.

You don't want to convert the Windows 7 drive to GPT. The only way to do so would be to clean install Windows 7 with UEFI instead after changing your BIOS to disable CSM.

For now, see if changing your "Boot Device Control" setting in BIOS to "Legacy OpRom only" may help.

Have you installed anything before W7 starting going crazy on you?

You might see if troubleshooting with a clean startup may be able to reveal any culprits.

Thanks Shawn no mate it is just crazy rom the word go except in safe mode the problem is I am sure that whatever I type or click on gets forgotten it seems or takes a long time to action whatever I am doing hence why I was thinking it seems to be an input and output issue everything seems to be caught it time. I was even thinking of re-flashing the BIOS even though I am on the current version. But you se even that doesn't work properly for example the boot order keeps getting changed to what is set by myself them.
I'll have a read through that tutorial anyway thanks and sorry for being such a nuisance but I am just about at the end of my tether with this build.

Ok Shawn I did the legacy only boot change and I also did the Services tutorial stuff now I find the machine is working in some sort of order insomuch it is faster and is not dropping posts.

One thing I found interesting was that I disabled all service and then added Kaspersky on it's own and all was fine added MBAM and all went to hell again. Now I do remember quite a long time ago I ran MBAM full version form a give away they were doing and Kaspersky did not like it at all so I ditched the MBAM.

As of since then I have used MBAM with Kaspersky with no ill effects until they started using the full version for a two week trial and of course this meant real time running in MBAM and I think that the combo o these two together again as been a large part of my problems there are still a few but at least I can post in the forum again because I would not have go as far as the start of the previous "paragraph" without losing this post.

I did try Chrome again but have ditched too and have disabled JavaScript in IE11 to stop the annoying dropping of emails to Drafts.

Anyway thanks yet again for pulling my sorry a**e out of the frypan:)
