For their sizes, the two on the end seem more likely the factory recovery partitions as WHS posted above. I would delete those two instead.

Yep, OEM recovery discs are bootable.

Scrolling down a bit to the Hard Disk Drive Recovery using Recovery CDs or DVDs section at the link from Toshiba below can help give you full details about how to use them.

Man, I don't have the balls to delete the recovery partitions, I'm thinking I might need them someday so I'll leave myself with only one partition for everything. Too bad I got used to have multiple partitions in my machine. lol

That's ok. I suppose that if your laptop supports it (most do), you could add a 2nd 2.5" HDD into the laptop to have the space. You can catch them at pretty good prices these days.

Hello 6432crab,

You will not lose any data on the drive or partition since you will only be shrinking or extending it. You only lose data if you are deleting or formatting a drive or partition instead.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Shawn,
What I've found that helped in increasing the available "shrink":
  1. Set pagefile size to 0
  2. turn off hibernation -- powercfg -h off
  3. disk cleanup (cleanmgr.exe)
  4. Defrag

Hello Karl,

Thank you. Those indeed should help reduce the allocated and used space to free up some.
