    Hello Johnny,

    As a test, does it work properly when you directly run the .vbs file?

    The context menu is basically just a shortcut to run the .vbs file.

    In addition, double check the stuff at the top of the tutorial to make sure everything is ok for it.

    Since you're on Windows 8.1, try the newer version of this context menu below instead to see how it works for you.

    Be sure to remove the old one first.

    As a test, if you manually create a restore point in System Protection, does it get created for you?

    @mrdreamers,

    Sorry for the late reply. I was getting a W7 VM up to date and doing some testing on it for this to see if anything may have changed.

    After testing, the .vbs file still works for me to create a restore point.

    Do you get a UAC prompt when you run the .vbs file?

    If not, then check to make sure your UAC settings are at default.

    Did you restart the computer to apply after setting UAC back to default?

    No need to delete your restore points.
