How about right-click Start/open windows explorer?

I've changed the default location of the pinned Win Explorer (thanks for the tutorial), works great. Coming from my most recent XP days, I still right-click Start, then click open win explorer. Is there any way to change that default location?

    Thanks,

    Norm

    Hello Norm,

Not sure yet, but you could add that location to the Start Menu context menu though.

Start Menu - Customize Context Menu - Vista Forums

    Hope this helps,

    Kinda solves my problem

My windows explorer will not start from any shortcuts or from the start menu. It will let me use this method to change the destination, but the default library option will not work, it allways displays this message "This file does not have a file connected to it for performing this action. Please install a program or if one is allready installed, create an association in the default programs control". Now all the others worked, (i'm using it to shortcut to computer) but that's not the point, why doesn't the default option work? Appreciate any (more) help you can offer.

Hello Irm, and welcome to Seven Forums.

See if downloading and using the EXE download option in the tutorial below may be able to fix this for you by restoring all of the default EXE file extension associations.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,
