Hello JCVD, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Not sure of what you mean, but if you mean "How were they removed?", then it could be from a number of things. User fault, a mistake made while editing the registry, registry cleaner, etc......

Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Hey,

Yesterday I used some regcleaner program, and now I find that I lack the option to create new folders. When I right click and select new, there is no option to create a new folder. Also when I click the new folder button in a window, nothing happens.

I downloaded number 5 in the tutorial and ran that and nothing happened.

You wouldn't happen to know whats wrong would you?
Thanks for your time.

Hello Law,

You might see if using the folder download option in the tutorial below as well may be able to restore it for you. If not, then you can do a system restore using a restore point dated before you used the reg cleaner program to undo what it did.

Hope this helps,

explorer right-click new doesn't include .txt file

I tried running new_text_document.reg and txt_reg_2.reg by Limneos in the thread "Cannot create a new txt file in explorer - please help"
No luck.
Then tried the option in this thread to restore .txt files as option.
Still no luck.
FWIW, when I double-click on an existing .txt file it opens in UltraEdit, which is what I want. But I want the option to create a new .txt file (ideally in UltraEdit) when I right-click and select "New"
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

Hello KM, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Give the TXT download in the tutorial below a try instead to see if it may be able to restore this for you. It will restore all of the default .txt file extension associations.
