after trying that now it says.

error 5. access is denied
Run the command prompt as administrator.
Go back to the first page, look for username: "AUDIO"
Modify his command line to include your username
Copy it then right-click in the command prompt
"Paste" then press enter. If all goes well you should
be on your way to making the .ISO file.

Following up on KK's earlier post... can someone confirm that from Vista Home Premium 64 to W7 Home Premium 64 via the Digital River Upgrade deal, if I install into a different partition than the one Vista is in, the license key won't authorize properly, even if I run the install from within Vista (rather than booting the CD I spent much of the evening figuring out how to burn)?

I think I may have made a major mistake. When Windows 7 asked me which drive to install to I had 3 options Partion 1: OEM , Partition 2 System Recovery and Partition 3: I don't remember (but it had 260 gb). I chose Partition 3. Was this the right choice?

it is impossible for anyone to answer that without knowing what you have in those partitions

I think you will be OK. 260gb is too big for an oem recovery/health partition.

I just wanted to thank the folks here. I have 32 bit XP home and ordered 64 bit Win 7 Pro from digital river...and ended up being up the river without a paddle.

I followed the instructions here to create the ISO, used Nero to burn it to a DVD, and booted right up into the installer.

I actually quit the install, however, since I am still waiting on a new boot drive from newegg. I hope to see it on the doorstep tomorrow...and then I am off.

Thanks again

Make drive non-bootable.
OK, this is a weird request so here it goes. I had a RAID1-01 set of boot-able 500g drives plus another 500g drive for backup. One of the drives failed so I bought 2 each 1tb drives. Replaced the failed drive and let the RAID1 rebuild. I then decided to replace the good 500g drive with the...
