CCleaner - Delete Junk Files

    I don't believe wiping free space will give you any more free space. A least it hasn't for me.

    I noticed from the pictures in your hyper link.

    Free space
    1. picture 78.26%
    2. picture 78.25%

    I don't see any added free space.
    What am I missing.

    Andrew I just happened to look for duplicate programs out of curiosity and was surprised by the number of duplicates I have in the C: drive see pic.

    Now what are the problems with going through those listings and deleting what are in some case 4 copies of one program / feature? I just do not want to delete willy nilly without knowing what I am doing. I suppose I still have system restore to fall back on?? r will that not bring back these files whatever?

    PS I should say this machine was built for 8 and was downgraded if you can call it so to 7 would that account for the number of duplicates?

    I think it's normal for programs to have copies of the same file in more than one location and I'd leave those alone. What you are really interested in when searching for duplicates is copies of personal files like music, documents, images or video.

    Example of files to leave alone:

    CCleaner - Delete Junk Files-ccleaner.jpg
