the problem is again recurring to my Windows 7 system, & I've quite forgotten the old solution.
plz help anyone here by just providing the download link to Microsoft FixIT Portable ~40MB file..

The original link is working, just downloaded the portable fix it myself. If it is not opening for you, try another DNS or temporarily use browser based free VPN service ZenMate (doesn't work on IE).

Tried following the tutorial as outlined. When i got about 1/3 way through the download bar i received an error message which i have attached. This occurred when trying to download both through the windows support and the original link. I also tried using zenmate through firefox and it didn't work through there either.

I tried the download again and getting the same error, so maybe it is an issue on MS side, try again later I believe.

Ok, tried once more and it finished downloading after stopping to download the portable tools for a while. I did run "MicrosoftFixit-portable.exe" as administrator (no idea if it would make a difference).

my timing must be bad. just tried again and got the same error. ill try again in another hour or so.

Just tried again. It downloaded for me. I transferred it across to my laptop. then I got an error message when trying to run it.

the two screens I received are attached below. cropped the url on the script error due to personal info in computer name.

Hmm, don't even have that folder in temp folders, try deleting temps? CCleaner can do the task.
