    Gkaywood,

Since you have a 64-bit Windows, double check to make sure that you also did step 9.

If that's not it, then go ahead and post a screenshot showing what you see to see if it may help to ID what the issue could be. :)

Hello I am trying to do this via GPMC in Server 2008r2 for Win7 trying to push the settings and hide everything in the save as/open window, except for any flash drive that is plugged in.(I am the desktop admin for a public library) I am pushing both 32 and 64 bit reg settings and I am getting access is denied in the event viewer on the two keys for 64 bit. Libraries is not showing in Windows Nav pane, but Favorites are. In SaveAs/Open all are showing. No matter if I push the settings in the User or Computer portion of a GPO. I am sure that it is something simple that I am missing, but I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Hello Manofsteel, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

The registry keys can't be modified until after you change the owner of the key to be the "Administrators" group, and set permissions of the key to "Allow" administrators "Full control.

    Hope this helps for now,
    Shawn

How would I push these permission changes to reg keys via GPO? There are around 300 pc's system wide, and I don't want to touch all of them, even with regedt32, lol.

Edit: I just found how to supposedly push these reg permissions changes, but they don't appear to be working.
