How to Change the File and Folder View Arrangement in Windows 7 Explorer

       Information
When you open a folder or library in Windows 7, you can change how the files look in the window. This will show you how to change the file and folder view arrangements in that window to be arranged in a List, Details, Tiles, or Content view.

       Note
The Content view option shows some of the content from within the file.

All folders in a library share the same folder view. Any change made below in a library will automatically be applied to all folders in the library.

EXAMPLE: List, Details, Tiles, and Content arrangement view
NOTE: What you see in your window will also depend on what you have the folder template set as.

Using the tutorial below to reset all folder views back to default may fix this for you.
How is the D: drive connected? Is it a synced (offline file)? Did you use any type of folder background patch?

    DETAIL PANE

    Hello community
this is one of the best websites ever. thank you very much
pls consider, that am a pure user and therefore I sometime fail to understand all the explanations.
    what am looking for is how to change the appearance of a window;
when opened, the first column is "date modified" and so fort.
my WISH is to have the sequence of the rows according to my likeness.
e.g. file format, followed by size etc

this choice I would like to appear in all windows, no matter from where I open folders.
I thank the community and greet all of you

Hello Renato, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could use the tutorial below to set a default folder view all folders.

For what you wanted, you would use a "General Items" folder template, use "Details" view, add and "drag and drop" the columns to how you like in step 1. Afterwards, do step 2 to apply it to all folders.

Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders

    Hope this helps, :)
