    Greetings y'all!
I've installed Oceanis, and for some reason every time that my notebook restarts or shuts off, the desktop background returns to the default Microsoft crappy image.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Oceanis, and still, the problem continues.
Is there any way to put my own desktop background and just make it stay there, like I'm used to since forever? Are there any other programs than Oceanis that can fit the bill as well?

    Would appreciate any help.

    Netbook Specs:
    Asus EEE 1005 PE
    Win 7 starter
    250 GB, 1 GB memory

Another alternative might be Easy Wallpaper Changer 2. I have used it on both XP and Vista but I am not sure if it will function on Win7 Starter. I found the program after I upgraded from the Starter Edition and have no way to test it. Just google Easy Wallpaper Changer and download from one of the trusted sites. If somebody trys it and finds that it works OK they can post back with their findings and possibly help somebody who may have problems getting the Oceanis to work.

    Hello Mick,

Thank you for trying to help. I just tested Easy Wallpaper Changer 2 in Windows 7 Starter, and it will not change the desktop backround in it.

There are many solutions on changing the wallpaper of Windows 7 Starter. I suggest that you read this article -Change the Wallpaper of Windows 7 Starter as it presents two solutions to solve this.

I like the second solution more as it gives me a more Windows' feel. It's as if the Personalize functionality was part of the standard installation.

Hello SinRival, and welcome to Seven Forums.

No, it will not damage it at all. It only enables a feature that has been disabled by default. :)
