Hello Shona, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might also check the same thing in the post above yours to see if you have the Remove background images (where available) box checked.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Hi Shawn,

I made sure i don't have the 'remove background images (where available)' box checked and the background image still seems to flash when i close tabs... at the minute the background is just one solid colour..could that be why? please help!!

    Shona,

You might try the solution that Foe posted below to see if it may work for you as well for this.

possibly a fix for windows 7 start black wallpaper...

Had the same problem - found the solution

When I run the program, I experienced the same as some others before:

The selected wallpaper was displayed as long as Oceanic was running, as soon as I closed the program, the wallpaper disappeared. When I opend a window and closed it again, I could see the wallpaper again for a part of a second.

    The solution:

To get the best performance out of my netbook, I deactivated pretty much everything in the performance center. I'm from Germany, so I don't know what's the English label for this value, but you have to activate "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" to see your wallpaper.
It's the last field in that window.

Hello RacingGreen, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Thank you for posting back with your results and findings.

Having the Use visual styles on windows and buttons box checked or unchecked didn't make any difference for me though. The Oceanis program ran either way still showing the wallpaper.

Hello Chen, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you referring to the desktop slideshow "Shuffle" option?

If so, do you have the "Shuffle" option checked?
