Hello Ami, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You should be able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before you installed the program to remove it and be able to start Windows 7 again.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

No problem. At the link below, you may be able to use method 2 for your OEM system to boot to and select "System Restore" at step 6 in Method 2.

    System Recovery Options

If not, then you can use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to create a "System Repair Disc" to use at boot instead to do so.

You could use OPTION TWO at the link above to create a "system repair disc" on the computer you are on now to use on the computer that you cannot start.

Hello to you all. I've tried changing my desktop background with Oceanis but it still shows a black background. It somehow flashes the the desired background but instantly goes back to being a black screen. I've also tried the methods in the yellow tip box:
    1.) I've installed and re-installed the software.
2.) Unchecked the Remove background images (where available)
3.) Changing the data value of 'Wallpaper' in the registry and inputting '%windir%\web\wallpaper\windows\img0.jpg' (w/o quotes)
4.) And changing the theme into Windows Classic then change in back into Windows 7 Basic.
5.) Even if the program is open, it still doesn't display the chosen background. Only flashes it.

PS: Before I tried any of this, the background of my netbook is already black screen. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Ronsterman, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm not sure what else you may be able to do, but could you post what brand and model your netbook is to see if others with the same one may also be having this issue or not.

Oh, it's working now! I just ran system file checker and it repaired some corrupted files. Rebooted and it's working! Thank you!
