It's ok. Take a deep breath and relax and clear your head. When you're ready just try it again and be sure to read everything in the tutorial on the first page of this thread and follow it step by step. :)

I've already updated it. It's on the first page of this thread. At the bottom or top of this page where it says "Page # of #", click on "First" to go to where the tutorial is at.

Hi Brink...I took the time to read your tutorial really carefully and I uninstalled Oceanis again. When i installed it...I realize that I can not SAVE it, I have to RUN it and I see the Oceanis icon on my desktop. Maybe that is where I am going wrong. I do not see where I can SAVE it. I will try to install again very carefully to see where I can save it. That is probably why I am not abe to open the Oceanis application. I have window starter...and I do not see where I can save it on my desktop...Help please!!!!!

What browser are you using? Is it Internet Explorer?

When you click on the blue "Download" button under step 1, you should have a Save button that you can click on to then be able to select/navigate to the desktop to save the ZIP file at.

No...I have been using Google Chrome. I do not like IE. Do I have to install it with IE and once I install it can I run it with Google Chrome or Mozilla? Let me know.

Yeah, I would try downloading it with IE so you can get save the ZIP to your desktop as in the tutorial.

You can continue using Chrome afterwards as usual.

I am determine to try to figure this out. Ok...Here is what I did using IE. I click to download Oceanis from the Seven Forum. When I click on Download...it says Do you want to open or save FIle? I click to save..that is what is on the tutorial. When I click save it showed...File name Oceanis_Change_Background and showed save as type compressed zipped folder. Then at the bottom right of the screen it had save or cancel. I click save. I did not see any of screens that showed on the tutorial. Was I suppose to click open? I did not see open on the tutorial. I see save on your Desktop. Please Help.

Okey doke Poochie. We'll get there.

Did you notice in that last box where it saved the ZIP file to?

If it's not on your desktop, then it may have saved it in your C:\Users\(user-name)\Downloads folder.

I have tried again. It keep saying I have to restart my computer before I able to use this program. I used Internet explore. I followed the tutorial just as you described. I also run as administrator. I will check to make sure UAC is turned on. What else can I try. I see someone else is having the same problem. I do not know why it is saying I need to restart my computer. I have restarted in several times.

    Poochie,

It doesn't appear that it's going to work on your system for some unknown reason.

    Hi Brink,

This is a new netbook. Can you possibly think of a reason why I am not able. It could be my netbook...I need to change some things. I am administrator. I had a few of my friends take a look at the tutorial. It did the same for them. It said to restart the computer. Is there something else I can try. Is there another background application available for window 7 starter? Thanks

It may be a piece or software that is installed on your computer, or came preinstalled on your computer, that could be preventing it from working properly. I just not sure why.
