    The description was purposely defaulted to that so that you will know that it was a restore point that you manually created.

    You can still type and use what you like instead, but all restore points are time stamped by default in addition to their description like below, so there is no need to have a time stamp for a description unless you just wanted to.

    I actually used these shorcuts on Win8 and don't know what this means but I deleted all restore point and the configuration show "0", but all the restore points are still listed.

    Hello rdwray,

    What did you use to delete the restore points with? If you used Disk Cleanup, then it will not delete anything that's not at least 7 days old by default unless otherwise set.

    Is the "0" for usage or max usage?

    I deleted them by setting configuration to "0" and disabling restore. I reset config to approx 300mb (I want restore point to be self deleting) and reenabled restore; then I did created another restore point to make sure it is working.

    Changed my registry per your "set" post.

    Could they be restore points on another drive that you had System Protection turned on for?
