Yeah thats more understandable. I think there were too many words before.
Hi guys,
Have just put windows 7 on my new machine, however the uac is driving me crazy.
It has totally locked me out I have tried all of the above but to no avail.
I just keep getting error messages without being able to proceed to the next step of being able to turn off uac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
right-click on the my computer icon, and go to manage. click local users and groups, then users. right-click on the administrator account and click properties. Uncheck the box that says disable account. close the properties window, right-click on the account again and set a password. Reboot and you should be able to login as the administrator account.
glad i could help
in case you didnt know you can just copy your documents and favorites into the admin profile, you dont need to move them somewhere else first. You will have to reset some program settings though (some store things in the user registry.)

Hello retarded, and welcome to Seven Forums.
If you are able to log on to your normal default administator account instead, then check with each method in the tutorial to see if your brother may have used it to lock/disable the built-in Administrator account.
Hope this helps,
Shawn
login with your "normal" admin accoun> then right-click on my computer> go to "manage"> go to local users&groups> go to users> right-click on "administrator" and click "change password" and set a new password.
If you have any encrypted files under that account, they will not be accessible. But, this will get you into the account.
Dont let your younger bro have admin rights, and dont leave the computer logged in unattended unless you lock it.
