Any change of providing a link to the space man images? :)

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery hehe

By the way, what a great site. I've just spent an hour reading through the forums before registering.

Hello Caspid, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Do you mean the user account log on picture in the icon? If so, then this will help show you how to change it.

    Hope this helps,

No, I mean the frame and reflection that are placed around/overtop of the user account picture. this thing.

Replacing the bitmap in explorer.exe only changes the frame in the start menu (i removed it entirely), but not the logon screen.

I'm afraid that I do not know other than that it may be able to by using resource hacker on some unknown .dll or other file to change the image.

Hello Shizuruluv, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I just checked in a VM of Windows 7 Starter, and you should have a C:\Windows\System32\oobe folder as well. If not, then you might see if running a sfc /scannow command and restarting the computer after it finishes may be able to restore it for you.
