    Ahh yes, now I see. Yeah, I did, I tried Option 1 initially. I came across Windows 7 Logon Background Changer even before coming across this thread. But it didn't work, I got the error. I saw your post #359 about it from googling, but then that didn't make sense because that directory didn't exist. I guess I gotta manually make it... But that program should be taking care of that, shouldn't it?

    Correct, the program will take care of it all for you.

    Had to replace HD couple of months ago-the only thing that didn't carry over was log in screen changes.
    IF memory serves I think originally I had done manually. Was going to download option one (Windows 7 Logon Background Changer (Julien-Manici.com) but appears source no longer available?

    also modified text per Welcome Log On Text Message - Change
    nice-Odd when you make these little tweaks, years later when they no longer work, logging on just seems wrong. :)
