    Saving Calibration Settings

I just got a new laptop and the display settings are terrible! I've gone through the calibration process several times but each time my computer goes to sleep or restarts, my display goes back to the default settings.

The calibration process isn't too time consuming and, because I've done it a hundred times, I can basically do it with my eyes closed but I'm starting to get irritated.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Stephanie, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Open Color Management in the Control Panel (icons view). Click on the Advanced tab, then click on the Change system defaults button. After clicking on YES in UAC prompt, double check to see if you have your saved color calibration for your monitor that you can select and set as the default profile again. This will save you the time of going through the color calibration again, and hopefully set as the default permanently until changed.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks! It took some fiddling with the advanced colour management settings, but I think the problem may be solved. For some reason, selecting my calibration profile and selecting 'set as default profile' from the devices tab didn't work, but selecting it as the default profile on the advanced tab seemed to do the trick.

    Hello,
I occure similar problems like Stephanie:
Every time my computer goes to sleep or restarts, my display goes back to the default settings.
I did the steps Brink mentioned (Open Color Management in the Control Panel (icons view). Click on the Advanced tab ...) but it does not work on my Computer (Win7, 64bit Enterprise).

I tried it on several computers and this is the result:

Win7 64bit Enterprise (Laptop at work) => no problem, colormanagment works
Win7 32bit Enterprise (2nd Laptop at work) => no problem, colormanagement works
Win7 64bit Home premium (Computer of friend) => no problem, colormanagement works
Win7 64bit Professional (Laptop of my father) => colormanagment does not work (after standby, hibernate, ....)
Win7 64bit Enterprise (my Subnotebook) => colormanagment does not work (after standby, hibernate, ...)

    What can be the problem?
I would really appreciate your help, because I already spend hours to find the problem.... because I need colormanagemtn on my Subnotebook.

    Thanks in advance!

Hello RiSKeY, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Could you be a bit more specific??

At what point does it not work, and what happens instead?

    RiSKeY,

Did you try what I posted here and what Stephanie tried under that post?

If so, could you post screenshots of these two locations before (with the new calibrations as default) and after sleep/restart?
