Has anyone had any issues with using a Samba share as your backup destination (including testing a restore from samba?)
Hi Shawn,
I read in the article that ..Back up doesn't back up applications.. but when i back up .. its also saving exe files (ofcourse i like this).. so can I be sure that its always gonna save all my applications ?.. I want this cause I would want to back up all the programs that i downloaded from internet to my external hard disk ..via Windows backup.
Thanks in Advance
Hello nooruddin,
Sorry for the confusion. Windows Backup will not backup or restore installed programs, but you will be able to back up the files in any folder(s) you include in the backup. Including any .exe files in them. :)
You're most welcome nooruddin, and thank you for the kind words. I'm glad that they can be helpful. :)
Hi everyone. Just have a question about using Windows 7 backup to do an incremental backup of a certain folder, after making a backup of that folder initially. Such as My Pictures etc. Is it easy to do? (Is it something that the program CAN do?)
If not, what would be a good free alternative program to use to do this?
Many thanks
Hello ValiantSaint.
If you set Windows Backup to automatically run on a schedule, then it'll keep the selected folder(s) backed up.
You can also manually run the backup as needed or wanted as well. :)
