I must admit that I'm stumped as for why it's not working for you.

    Camoguy,

If you decide to do so, then please feel free to ZIP your file and upload it. I'll be happy to test it on my system to see what the problem may be. :)

When i try to save the changes in ResHacker i get "Cannot rename original file. Saving cancelled", i am admin of computer, and run ResHacker as admin so i don't see why i can't save it. Also i cannot alter the "imageres.dll" directly. ResHacker zip is on desktop, and i have a copy of imageres.dll in desktop as well. Any suggestions?

As an update, I used Option One to verify that the link and program still worked for another thread. It didn't! The link worked but the utility reset all folder icons and cleared all the icons in my Control Panel. It also reset the Recycle Bin Icon. I haven't fixed the Recycle Bin icon yet but the other problems were fixed using SFC /scannow.

I ran the utility first with no changes. I simply viewed the "screen" and clicked on Play to hear the default sound. After that, I clicked Exit. I thought that I should try it since the tutorial was suggested in a post I made. I then ran the utility again but this time, I changed to a .wav I stored in the Media folder. I clicked on Play and it seemed to work. After a reboot, the problem showed up.
