Step 6 was dangerous for me. My system did not boot. I had to do a lot and spend about 4-5 rebuilt boot rec through BCDRec. One website explained what exactly I needed. Not sure what went wrong in my case. Be careful folks.

Step 6 in Option 1 is to make the change permanent instead of temporary.
What did you set your max memory to?
Normally, you want to leave the Maximum memory box unchecked (default) for Windows to use all installed memory.
I recently upgraded my memory to 18 gigabytes. With chrome running about a half a dozen windows it will use about 6 gigabytes. since I have plenty of memory leftover is there a way to configure windows so it will use as much memory as possible perhaps even direct some of the memory to the video...
