I used the tutorial you suggested, but it did not work.
After typing in c: it stated that "The system cannot find the drive specified"
After typing in bootrec/Fix Mbr, "Completed successfully"
    bootrec/FixBoot, "Element not found"
bootrec/RebuildBcd, "Scanning all disks for Windows installations", "Successfully scanned Windows installations", "Total identified Windows installations:0", "Operation completed successfully"

I took out the repair disk and rebooted my computer and still got the "No Bootable Device-Insert Boot Disk"

In that case, see if you may be able to do a startup repair. You may need to run it a few times though.

Ok. Next, use the OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to see if may be able to mark the "System" partition as "Active" to see if that may help.
In addition, use the link from HP below to test your HDD at boot to see if there may be anything wrong with it.

Hard disk passed. States there are no partitions. Only gives me 1 disk (disk 0).

Strange, there should be at least one partition listed when you type list partition using Diskpart in the command prompt using the first link above.

I followed all the directions. I tried 3 times and still only gave me the one disk and said there were no partitions

It looks like you may need to reinstall Windows 7.

If you need to try and backup anything, then you could see if you may be able to use a live Ubuntu disc as in the link below.
