You might see if uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers/software for the keyboard and mouse may help if they got corrupted.

If needed, you could connect the mouse only, restart the PC so it will be recognized, and use the On Screen Keyboard as needed.

At a log on screen, you would click on the Ease of Access Center icon (bottom left) to open the On Screen Keyboard to be able to click on the letters to enter your password.

Ah, ok. I thought you could only connect either your old mouse or keyboard and not both.

What brand and model number is the wireless USB mouse?

Replace the batteries or charge it to see if that may be the issue.

If that checks out, then connect the wireless USB mouse, restart PC, then on the USB receiver connected to motherboard's USB port, see if there is a connect button to press. If so, press it, then press the same on the bottom of the mouse. This will sync the signal of the wireless mouse with it's USB receiver.

Did you already replace the batteries or charge them, and to sync them?

Do you have another USB keyboard or mouse that you could use to test with. Possible friends?

Could you use your old PS2 keyboard to navigate with and use keyboard shortcuts, arrow keys, tab keys, etc.... in Windows to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard/mouse drivers?

Even a old mouse don't work. A old keyboard is the only thing that works but it is very hard to navigate

If it's a PS2 mouse, then did you restart the PC after connecting it? It won't recognize it unless you do.

Yeah, it's harder to navigate with only a keyboard, but if it's all you have available...

Ya I did and nothing? All I have is the keyboard and couldn't navigate properly to open stuff up? I really don't want to format as I will loose my emails.
