Wow! Usually it took about, say 28 seconds to close all programs and turn the computer off, but now it's like POOF and it's gone! Thanks Shawn, yet another great tutorial.

    Hello Vipermk2,

Interesting. It still shows as 12000 in the 7229 build.

What are the rest of you seeing as your default with your build number?

Thank you SIW2. Updated to 12000 instead of 20000 for the default. :)
I just found the 64bit already at 12000 here for some reason. But the manual mod to lower a bit will never hurt! Good one!

    Hi Night Hawk,

It was 20000 by default in Vista and a few early pre-beta builds of Windows 7. It should be 12000 by default in Windows 7 now though. :)

When just going in on the 64bit RC now I found it at the 12000 mark there so I lowered it down manually to 8000. That should be interesting to watch later!

That would have been a big help on the 32bit beta I had set up with XP some time back however since that installation would always hang on shutdown. That was following the first batch of gadgets were going there.

Think it work on the Vista vmc I have going now? Confirmed at 20000 on the VPC! I just lowered that to 12000.
