    Hello liverpal,

You may have an association issue. See if downloading and merging the .reg file for the listed VBS option in the tutorial below may help afterwards.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps, :)

    Good ideal Darkassain. Done.

    Thank you,

    Shawn,

I used your program and it said 72 seconds.
When I physically timed it, it was 34 seconds - totally online.

    Why the discrepancy?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

The script measures the full restart time from the time you click on restart to the time Windows starts up. Is this what you measured?

When I clicked "download". I didn't get any of your pics.
I just said Run and it restarted the computer and showed the time.

I simply measured ( on second restart, the time it took from boot to be online,

You may have double clicked and/or accidentally clicked on OK at step 4 without knowing it before it restarted the computer.

Ah, that explains the time difference you had then. :)

That's the thing - there were NO steps ( as in your pics.)

It never gave me those options - I just was given the option RUN, and it restarted the comp.

Anyway, I am thrilled since getting the SSD and not having to wait more than 5 minutes when I had XP and regular HDD.

    Thanks for your time.
