How to Completely Disable the Windows Key
InformationThis tutorial will allow you how to completely disable the Windows key for all users in Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1.
You must be logged in as an administrator to be able to do the steps in this tutorial.
Here's How:1. Do step 2 or 3 below for what you would like to do.That's it,
2. To Re-enable the Windows KeyA) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.3. To Disable the Windows KeyRe-enable_Windows_Key.regA) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.Disable_Windows_Key.reg
5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.
6. Click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC - Windows 7/8) or Continue (UAC - Vista), Yes, and OK when prompted.
7. When finished, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
8. Restart the computer to fully apply.

hi brink,
thank you for this tutorial,,it really pisses me off when im playing and i accidentally press that stupid key. Is there anyway for me to know which are the affected registry key when i merge your files. thanks

It is also possible to disable this, and other keys, if using a Microsoft keyboard with the Intellitype driver.

OR...
You can get a logitech gaming KB (like the G15) which has a switch to turn the key on and off when you are gaming or not :)
I use the key all the time at the desktop but switch it off when gaming.
