One I don't see an uninstaller for is Sophos. They have a program that is really difficult to get rid of. I had to use scripts in safemode to uninstall it completely from my pc. I submitted my information to Sophos support and they responded and said that they would look into the issue. So be careful if you're thinking about uninstalling Sophos AV.

Here are some instructions for Sophos. They have not advanced to Win7 yet, so I would go the Vista route: Sophos Small Business Solutions: how to uninstall Sophos security software

    Nice listing

Top little ref this whs - spot on with Kaspersky (got it myself) and so important to get rid of any shreds left behind.

Oh and if anyone is interested - current version .556 (b.c) if you are having issues.

You might also want to take a look at OPSWAT's AppRemover. Here's a chart of programs it is reported to work with: Applications Supported for Uninstallation and Removal by OPSWAT's AppRemover.

Really good reference, Corrine. I thank you. I will be making use of that in Crashes & Debugging. I do notice Zone Alarm is not on their list.

    Hiyya Corinne

Nice list and as Carl just mentioned same goes for a reference to KIS 2010 / 2011 especially in Win 7.

Especially as reinstalling any current version of KIS can be a real muck up without that KAV removal tool being used before installing the new version of KIS / KAV and also before installing another brand ISS.

But I suppose the KAV removal tool is easy enough to find eh?

Having said that moving over to K from any of the other sites would make this ref real handy piece of "equipment" as I know from experience Kaspersky and particularly Norton do not mix well at all.

Just noticed that Avira remover from top list won't download but does from Corrine's list or am I doing something wrong in the top list.

    Hi, ICit2lol.

The download link for AppRemover is located at Uninstall & Remove McAfee, Symantec, Norton, AVG, Avast & More Antivirus and Security Applications and Programs. The link I provided above just shows the list of supported applications.
