    Hi Robin,

d/l this .zip and put the 3 files ( not the folder) directly on the root of Drive C.

    xpbootfiles_rdisk1_par2.zip

(if it asks to overwrite existing ones, say yes)

Open Easybcd and under Add/Remove, remove any existing XP entries.

Add a new entry for XP - select Drive C.

When you talk about the root of drive C. Where is that.

Hi, Tried that, got a black Windows Boot Manager screen.

    File:\ NTLDR
    Status: OXC000007b
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

However, i copied all three files to the C, even checked.

Can you see the 3 files on C?

Please post the output of the following:

type cmd in start search - when a little black box pops up - rt click it and run as admin.

    Type:

    bcdedit

    Then press enter.

    Post up what it says.

looks like you didn't run as an admin

Just search for "cmd" in the start menu and be sure to "Run as an Administrator"

    Looks ok to me.

Curious error. It's possible ntldr got damaged - pretty rare.

    Are you using Easybcd v2.0?

If not - use that - let it add the entry and autoconfigure.

    Get build 64:
