Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP

You can use the Acronis boot disk to reimage XP to second partition Inactive without MBR or 0 Track.

Then install EasyBCD 2.0 to Win7 to Add XP.

Yes, please post back a screenshot of your maximized full Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu. Label your partitions in Properties box for each partition, tell us what you want where.

The best move to make at this point if you dont' need any more partitions on the HD is to download and install free Partition Wizard, rightclick on the XP partition, choose Modify>Convert to Primary, OK, Apply all Steps. Then follow the steps in Method Two of the tutorial.

In the future if you want to add any other partitions to the HD you'll need to convert D to Logical extended which can contain as many sub-partitions as you want. The limit for Primary partitions is four, after which you risk conversion to Dynamic Disk which you don't want.

If you've previsouly created a backup ISO of your DVD, it's pretty easy to burn one using The Official ImgBurn Website. It's personally what I use. It's very efficient and free!
