I just totally reworked this tutorial, I think it flows much better and is easier to follow now.

You do not have to create a partition after the clean all but you will get the 100MB "System, Reserved" boot partition that is created to an unallocated HDD/SSD during the install process.

Here's a quote I always find interesting, a format does not remove any data at all.

   Note

Contrary to popular belief, formatting does not remove any data at all, it just checks for sector errors and marks the space to be over-written as needed, all the data is still there including all the code from previous/failed installation attempts.
