See if this may be able to help instead for this Windows Update 0x80070003 error.
You receive a "0x80070002" or "0x80070003" error code after you download an update from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or from Windows Server Update Services
If it still does not help, then you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before you had this error may be able to fix it for yoy.
Would you ever consider adding a "Pro" version, which re-registers all 114 WU related .dlls, and does everything here: How do I reset Windows Update components?
That would actually be quite useful, as it would merge together the WU Components reset, and the WU Modules Reset. The WUM Reset only registers files, and has no repercussions, such as deleting history. Or is there some reason which I am missing!
