    Unable to change default software


    Here's my problem:
    I double click a MP4 file and it is opened by an unwanted software. If I specify a desired software, it opens the MP4 file by that software but the default software never changes. The unwanted software is not in the list on OpenWithView.

    The default software did change after re-booting the system.

Hello Today I decided to install some stuff on my computer as it was out of date.. I installed Java, Flash player and adobe reader X but when I go to add/remove they are not showing up in that section? Has anyone any suggestions or advice as to why this is happening? Thank you.
My son bought a new computer and is giving me his 2 year old Win7 HP desktop to replace my still truckin 8 year old XP. His computer has Nortons and no virus issues - runs fine, a little slow maybe. He already copied off his stuff but I would to start using it with ALL his user files and torrent...
Is there a way to remove entries from "Programs and Features"? The screenshot shows many entries for MegaSceneryEarth, can I get rid of all these entries someway? I do not want to uninstall the program, I just do not want all this crap showing up under "Programs and Features".
For a while my windows 7 64 bit would open my images in Documents. Now when I try they appear as a garbled strange format. If I go to PSP ProX2 they open fine. This is a problem for me since I often need to add images to document Newsletters I send out. :confused: Thanks, Char
