xp mode inherit network profile form Windows 7?

In Windows 7, I got both my home WiFi router as Public (as opposed to Home, Work, and Domain network profiles). These broad categories are a Windows 7 things. Does Windows XP in XP mode inherit the equivalent network settings?

No because as far as the network is concerned, these are two separate machines. The only way it would matter is if your firewall blocked outgoing network connections from the XP Mode (Windows Virtual PC) Application. Aside from that, they are completely different in their settings.

Is there a way to migrate the Public network profile from Windows 7 to XP Mode? I mean apart from manually. I'm not familiar with all the different settings, and would like to avoid transcribing the settings manually.

Not really as XP doesn't have "Network Profiles" per se. You'd unfortunately have to manually duplicate the settings.

Bummer. I was hoping something like Netswitcher could capture the slew of Windows 7 network settings into a configuration file, which could get imported on Windows XP. I've found no evidence on the web of people using it like that

Sharing a printer does not inherit settings?
I have shared a printer from Windows 7 with certain settings. Like, say, forced black&white printing. When I connect to this printer and try to print, it doesn't care a single bit about those settings I've set there. I pretty much need to have the settings inherited, otherwise I'm going thru 10+...

Hi After experiencing some blue screens (graphics driver related) I reverted back to 314.22 and this morning decided to give the card a good clean. This is my main PC which has Windows 7 Home Premium, Q9450, GTX 260 (216). Somehow I managed to corrupt my user profile and received the User...

Can't find network driver. HP Compaq dc7800p small form factor.
Good morning everyone! I have a HP Compaq dc7800p Small Form Factor PC. It originally had Vista business on it, but--for obvious reasons--I am downgrading to XP Pro. This is was supposed to be a routine wipe and install, however, I must be mislead as to which drivers are required--specifically...
