I use it without problem. In fact, the usb is a little better than virtualbox, thought I like them both.

I run VMWare player? That works fine in Windows 7. Got 6 different Linux distro's loaded for testing.

Don't know how much different VMWare player is to VMWare Workstation.

This is what they say on their site:

VMware Player enables you to create and run virtual machines. However, if you need to leverage powerful developer-centric features such as Teams, multiple Snapshots and Clones, or Virtual Rights Management features for end-point security, you will need to upgrade to VMware Workstation.

Linux CENTOS 7 / various Windows OS'es and servers

Hi there
Been running it on W7 since day 1 (or even before with some of the pre release W7 builds).

There was only one problem - BRIDGED Networking didn't work -- NAT did so no big deal.

That problem seems to have been fixed ages ago --running the latest version of vmware workstation.

vmware player is fine too and so is vmware server (free) although vmware server won't allow W7 virtual machines to use full areo yet unlike vmware workstation and vmware player.

Others use Virtual Box which I understand is also very good. I've stuck with vmware since I've used it on both Linux and Windows for a few years with really no problems.

Cheers

Yeah, I really liked Virtualbox. It's only problem (for me) was usb devices. I couldn't get my Logitech webcam to work. Tested VMWare Player and it worked like a charm. Guess I haven't switched back, but I really hope Virtualbox can address that issue.
