    WinXP Mode AntiVirus?

Does WinXP Mode need an antivirus software if my Win7 already has one installed?

I'm asking this cause it doesn't seam like XP mode recognizes that I have antivirus running on Win7.

And also cause when downloading stuff in XP Mode, the network icon in the notification area shows activity, but the network icon in Win7 shows no activity...as if virtualization REALLY split the network adapter too!

    Thanks.

Hello NoDoze, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you have the XP Mode VM using the network, then yes it will need to have a antivirus program installed on it as well since they are treated as two separate OS's.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    okie dokie...
I also noticed that drivers were missing...like the vid card, and a couple "unknowns"... Does that mean I have to load drivers too?

Usually drivers will not install or work in a VM though.
